Contact Droits et Recours en Santé Mentale de la Côte-Nord (DRSM Côte-Nord), an organisation which specialises in mental health rights and recourse. It's free and completely confidential. 

 

Our mandate

DRSM Côte-Nord was entrusted to promote and defend the human rights of people living with or having lived with a mental health problem and work with them so they can feel empowered in their lives and in society as a whole.

 

Our mission

Through the support that it provides to people and the mandate that it received, DRSM’s mission is to promote and defend the individual and collective rights of persons living with or having lived with a mental health problem. This also includes helping empower them with information and different training sessions related to rights and recourse and offering support and assistance to these persons or groups as they defend their rights and make sure their rights are respected.

Offering QUICK and ACCESSIBLE SERVICES …

- To welcome you and answer your requests for information from Monday to Friday from  8:30 a.m. to 12:00 and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

-  To offer you a voice mail option and a toll-free number to receive your messages and requests as quickly as possible.

- To contact you within one business day after having received your request for service by e-mail, fax, telephone or regular mail.

- To make services accessible throughout the North Shore territory.

Our objective 

Our objective is to ensure that each person plays a unique and major role in undertaking the actions that are required of them and participates in the decisions that affect them.

 

We are there to help you :

  • Defend and promote your individual and collective rights.
  • Foster and increase your autonomy as you defend your rights.
  • Facilitate access to recourse in the event of a dispute.
  • Encourage, promote and denounce certain mental health practices.
  • Raise awareness among the population about the personal experience and everyday life of persons living with or having lived with a mental health problem.

 

Our territory

DRSM Côte-Nord operates throughout the North Shore territory, from Tadoussac to Blanc-Sablon, including the northern cities and Anticosti Island.

We have offices in Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles to serve you better.
